Is the best motorboat a sailboat without a mast? The Loxo 32 from Pogo is here!
When a sailor retires from sailing, a motorboat is often an alternative. What could possibly be better than having all the benefits of a sailboat but without the rigging and draft.
UPDATE: Pogo Chantier has just released a new video: Looking good!
From Pogo Chantier Naval Structures in France comes a spectacular small motor boat. The builders of the fantastic cruising and racing sailboats are now launching the Loxo 32 motorboat. This is a new concept from Pogo. A cruising motorboat, benefiting from the techniques from building the sailboats.
The LOXO 32 is built using composite sandwich technology to get a very light displacement.
The hull has been designed and optimised for specific target speed (10 to 15kt).
LOXO 32 will come with different engine setups, from 50 to 75 HP, mono or twin engines. We wonder if electric power will be available.
- Length: 9.5 m
- Width: 2.54 m
- Design Category: B
This looks like a very fuel efficient boat with very low drag and long range. We are of course wondering if this is a start of a new series of design from the French Yard. See a teaser video below posted on their Facebook Page.
You can see the new Loxo 32 at the Paris Boatshow from December 2nd to the 10th. Nautic Hall 1 stand k23.
